  1.   Arriving.

The Studio requests that you are prompt to your time of arrival as time cannot be added on to make up for lateness. This is so that we do not inconvenience customers that book after you. We allow for some dwell time, but this is for turnaround not for any other purpose. Over runs will be charged per hour at £35. Please allow enough time in your booking for set up and pack down.

  1.   Alcohol.

If you are intoxicated or appear to be incapacitated in any way – we will remove you from the premises. There will be no refunds or expenses paid.

  1.   Sharps and open flames.

Any play that requires piercing must be brought to our attention first. This also applies to anything that requires an open flame or bladed instrument. Do not use any open flames or candles without the express permission of the organisers.

  1. Care and breakages.

If during your visit to us  there are any breakages, these will be the responsibility of the hirer.  All breakages must be paid for.

Any damages are solely your responsibility.

We will check all equipment prior to your visit to make sure that any damaged items are removed. Glass must not be taken out of the lounge area under any circumstances. Paper cups are provided free of charge.

  1. Equipment.

Please use all equipment responsibly and ask management if you are not sure how something should be used properly or safely.

Do not use any equipment that you are not experienced with.

  1. CCTV.

The Studio is monitored by CCTV. This is a private system and is available only to the management. This system will never be published or reproduced unless it’s to official authorities to aid in the investigation of a crime. We reserve the right to delete or pause recording if requested by anyone organising or making private bookings.

No visual or audio recordings can be produced in The Studio during events without prior permission. If you are caught, you will be asked to delete any recording that may have been made. Repeat offenders will have their equipment disabled and will be asked to leave.

  1. Filming.

If The Studio is hired for the purposes of filming or content creation, the onus is on the booking organiser to ensure that all legal duties of care have been met under such circumstances. This includes the Checking and assessing of ID and age verification and ensuring adequate understanding for all participants. All attendees of bookings must be over 18.

Events created and organised by us have a minimum age of 21 for all attendees.

All recordings made on site must adhere to UK decency laws. This is non-negotiable.

  1. Insurance.

The Studio holds public liability, indemnity and equipment insurance. Equipment insurance is ONLY for equipment owned by The Studio. Guests must ensure that their own equipment is covered.

  1. Consent.

This applies to everyone involved with The Studio, including Team Members, participants and attendees.

Consent is a mutually understood agreement, entered into freely and willingly, granting a specific set of permissions that can be withdrawn at any time.

  1. Behaviour and harassment.

We welcome people from all walks of life, and do not tolerate discrimination on any grounds – if you behave in a violent, harassing or threatening manner, whether verbally or physically, you will be asked to leave.

We do not tolerate any form of harassment or abuse (verbal, physical, emotional, or sexual). Harassment includes offensive verbal comments (related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion), deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of classes or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

We do not tolerate the use of misogynist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or racist language.

We do not tolerate violations of our code of conduct in any form. If any participant engages in harassing behaviour, we will take prompt action to stop the harassment. This may include warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. The Studio reserves the right to exclude serious and/or repeated code of conduct violators on a long term or permanent basis.
